ZOO x 2!!

This is Nate's second time to the Zoo!
Mummy got the zoo corporate card and so we went to the zoo again over the weekend! If you noticed, the pictures somehow suggested that it was a Father-son bonding session more than anything. Partly true and partly because Mummy was the photographer of the day! =) Well, I recently attended the Dads for Life conference 2012 and Mr. Wilfried Hoecke shared that after the age of 18months, boys will slowly realize that they are different from Mummy and start to identify and learn from Daddy! Even though Nate is not 18 months yet (almost there..), I think he is slowly realising that and sticking to Daddy slightly (just a little slightly) more. Or maybe I'm just too wishful thinking. Anyway, the important thing is that we had fun at the Zoo!! Check out the pictures!

Old School!!

Just over the weekend, we had dinner at Old School Delights at Thomson. This place turned out to be pretty awesome because several surprises were in stored for us the moment we sat down. We loved that they served tuckshop kind of food, we got to write our food order on a mini whiteboard and more importantly, Nate got to play with pencil, paper and old school country erasers!! Daddy was very happily demonstrating to Nate how we can play with the erasers (by flicking one on top of the other) and all Nate achieved was to put the eraser into his mouth.. Haha!! We also experienced a power blackout in the middle of our dinner, must say that Nate did pretty well in the pitch black by not making a fuss as he was probably too fascinated with the candles lit by the staff for each table.

The highlight of the night was Sarah! She is about Nate's age, at most 1-2 months difference, and sitting just 2 tables away. She came over to play with Nate towards the end of our meal. They started by shaking hands, high five-ing each other and played peekaboo. As we were leaving, we carried Nate down from the high chair and Sarah came over to hug him! Awwwww.......sweet child of mine!

Bubbles!!

Daddy and Mummy bought this big tube that says "Bubbles" on it and we thought it's gonna make BIG bubbles for Nate.. turns out that it's just a big tube but producing more average sized bubbles.
Well, doesn't matter.. as long as we had fun!

Food For Thought!

A simple weekend brunch with Nathaniel at Food for Thought @ Botanic Gardens. A fairly child friendly place with a playground, some crayons and colour pencils to entertain the kids. See how even the colours were across the paper.. well, those were done by Daddy! Nathaniel was busy throwing the crayons on the floor.. haha!

New Hair Style!

Nate's second hair cut! The last one was when he was just 4 months old.."Megamind" aka Botak, remember? Well, now that he is almost 14 months old, his grandma "complains" that his hair is too long and difficult to manage, so we brought him for a hair cut! Check it out!

Baby Friends!!

Daddy's buddy, Ben, and family visited over the Christmas hols. The kids were so entertaining. They seem to be having fun whilst trying to play with each other. Celeste was busy putting objects back into the tub while Baxton and Nate were happily taking them out. The boys, both 1 year old, can basically sit by themselves on the playmat and play contentedly for a grand total of hmmm...5 min before Nate's attention is diverted to somewhere else. Anyway, here are some shots of the sweet moments. =)

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Nathaniel is 1 year old!!
This time a year ago, we were eagerly awaiting for the arrival of our precious bundle of joy. Fast forward to a year later, baby Nathaniel is celebrating his first birthday with his loved ones! Daddy and Mummy invited the whole family to Sichuan Douhua for a cosy dinner + ice cream cake from Ben&Jerry's!

Thanks for all the gifts and ang baos!

Nate loves ice cream cake!

Daddy and Mummy bought him a nice BIG bike! ... well tricycle actually.

Balloon!!

Nathaniel's first balloon!
We were shopping at CentrePoint and one of the M&S shop assistants gave him a balloon when we enter the store. We thought no harm letting him play for awhile, and we do not expect the balloon to last more than 5 mins in Nate's hand.. haha!

We were wrong!
He liked it so much and somehow managed to handle the balloon without bursting it for the next 1 hour and refused to let us remove it. I guess he likes balloon or maybe people look like Santa Claus from that perspective!

Sandwiches!!

Mummy had to work over the weekend a few weeks ago, so Nate and I had some father-son bonding time! I brought him to Obrien's for breakfast after we dropped Mummy off for work and I ordered a breakfast set which I planned to eat while I feed Nate his breakfast....

Well, let's just say he has a different plan....Haha!
Meanwhile he did learn to drink from a straw! =)

Pole Dance!

Well, in our recent trip to HK, we realised that Nate seems to like the "pole" a lot and he would play around it as we talk... Check out the pictures from two occasions, one in a bus to Ocean Park and the other in a cable car! I'm sure he will like Bollywood movies in future!
